SUBJECT :- Complaint against the Negligence of Police
Sir,
May I be impertinent enough to attract your attention to the fact that the Delhi Police are Negligent towards their duties.
A theft was committed in our neighborhood last night. It was a Strom, cloudy and chilly night. I heard the shrieks and shouts of Thief-Thief from my neighborhood. I came out of my house. There were no policeman on night patrol.
I rang up the nearest police station informing them of the theift. It is a matter of shame that the police did not turn up even till sunrise. We were told that the thieves had molested the ladies of the house at pistol point. They had beaten the menfolk with hockey sticks and iron chains. They had decamped with cash, jewellery and other valuables worth two lacs.
This incident has created panic and a sense of insecurity among the residents of locality. The policemen on patrol duty are in communion with the thieves. They enjoy sound sleep during night duty hours. They show cowardice and Negligence when thefts and burglaries take place in their areas during their duty hours.
Therefore you are requested to take the defaulters to task.
Thanking you.
Yours faithfully
Jaswant Singh
