Letter to your father telling him of your plan to go to a village with a group of students to teach illiterate villagers

Respected Daddy,

 

I received your affectionate letter a couple of days ago, but I was busy with my examination and so I could not reply earlier. I am very happy to know that Sonu has been selected in IIT with a very good rank. Please, congratulate him on my behalf. He deserves the kudos.

 

As I informed you earlier, my annual examinations would be over Io on 29th April. On 30th April, I, as a part of a team of ten students, am planning to go to a nearby village Hatina, to teach the illiterate villagers.

 

The team will be headed by our professor Dr Pannikaran. We will teach them how to read and write Hindi. We will also train them to write their signatures.

Illiteracy is a curse in our society. Many problems and hardships faced by the poor villagers are because of their illiteracy. Our tour will not only help them, but it will also be beneficial for bus to get a first hand knowledge of rural problems.

 

I will write to you about our detailed programme later on. Every thing is fine at my end. I am preparing well for my annual examinations. Convey my deep regards to mom and hearty congratulations to Sonu.

आदरणीय पिताजी,

 

मुझे आपका स्नेह पत्र कुछ दिनों पहले मिला था, लेकिन मैं अपनी परीक्षा में व्यस्त था और इसलिए मैं पहले जवाब नहीं दे सका। मुझे यह जानकर बहुत खुशी हुई कि सोनू का IIT में बहुत अच्छे रैंक के साथ चयन हुआ है। कृपया, मेरी ओर से उन्हें बधाई। वह इसका  हकदार है।

 

जैसा कि मैंने आपको पहले बताया था, मेरी वार्षिक परीक्षाएं 29 अप्रैल तक  होंगी। 30 अप्रैल को, मैं दस छात्रों की एक टीम के हिस्से के रूप में, अनपढ़ ग्रामीणों को पढ़ाने के लिए, पास के एक गांव हटिना में जाने की योजना बना रहा हूँ।

टीम का नेतृत्व हमारे प्रोफेसर डॉ पन्निकरण करेंगे। हम उन्हें हिंदी पढ़ना और लिखना सिखाएँगे। हम उन्हें अपने हस्ताक्षर लिखने के लिए प्रशिक्षित भी करेंगे।

 

अशिक्षा हमारे समाज में एक अभिशाप है। गरीब ग्रामीणों को कई समस्याओं और कठिनाइयों का कारण उनकी अशिक्षा है। हमारा दौरा न केवल उनकी मदद करेगा, बल्कि ग्रामीण समस्याओं का पहले से ज्ञान प्राप्त करना भी उनके लिए फायदेमंद होगा।

 

मैं आपको हमारे विस्तृत कार्यक्रम के बारे में बाद में लिखूंगा।  मैं अपनी वार्षिक परीक्षाओं के लिए अच्छी तैयारी कर रहा हूं। माँ सादर प्रणाम और सोनू को हार्दिक बधाई।
